Using artwork to make your home look better.

I have been walking about regional galleries recently over North Wiltshire, West Wiltshire, Kennet and South Wiltshire and found that the many galleries be they in Chippenham Wiltshire or Malmesbury Wiltshire are packed with some fantastic local artists prints and a number of fantastic national artists prints. I thought I would provide an insite of some brilliant artists that are about at the moment that have created pieces that are of benefit taking a look at. Art is for all of us and a decent print placed in the right space of a room can create a different kind of environment.

The first artist I wanted to look at is the Scottish artist Jack Vettriano who I feel is producing brilliant pieces of art if you are into film noir. For me when I look at his paintings I feel like I’m looking at a clip from an American detective scene or a scene from Miss Marple. Seems a little blasé perhaps but place with that a real feel of femininity and strength and you will begin to get a sense of his work. Jack Vettriano’s work can be found in print all over the planet and adds strong tones to a room when you need to add depth and tension.

The 2nd painter I needed to discuss was Beryl Cook who goes away from moody tones to humorous large characters. I feel Beryl Cook was one of Britain’s greatest painters of British character scenes. Many people will see her painted people as large ladies on a beach, but the diversity of her work brings large quantities of humour to normal scenes of real people having a moment. Have a look as I know she will make you smile, her work is bright and lifts the mood of a place.

The 3rd person I wanted to look at is Philip Gray the Irish artist who produces beautiful moody scenes that are so dramatic and effective that you have a real sense how it might have been to be looking onto them yourself. His painting is very inspiring using colours that only nature’s beautiful sunsets and dawns can reveal. There is always a sense of dynamic silence about his paintings and is really of benefit a look if you like dramatic landscapes. Most homes will benefit from pieces of this artists work.

The Fourth painter I needed to talk about was Duncan Macgregor who produces scenes that reveal his love of the sea. Many of his paintings have ships sailing through their expanse which for those that love the sea like myself puts in points of attention in very reflective scenes of the ocean. His paintings are often quite striking using strong colours to reflect the brightness of the sea.

These are excellent artists to look at to provide you a wide range of styles that show the huge effect art can have on you or other individuals as they go into a room. Art I think should be something that helps you to daydream about something else beyond your day to day. It can make all the difference to a room with empty walls, providing just the feel you need to reflect an aspect of self.

Make Your Homestead Like A Fireside On The Arboretum For Your Teensy-Weensy Cattleman

You can make his first bedroom a perfect dude ranch where your tiny cow boy can dream of the Wild West as he’s surrounded by authentic-looking accessories like imitation cowhide and by the exciting prints on his cowgirl baby bedding. Sooner or later, you can enthrall him with stories of the brave hearts of the Old West, and – as his father would – he will envision pulling on a pair of shoes, covering his head with a cap that weighs ten gallons, jumping onto a horse, and galloping off into the wild following a group of downright bad cattle thieves. There’s a vast array of items online for parents who want their nursery to feature this ever-popular motif. The simplest look-up on a search engine, too, will index many, many websites of sellers who have cowboy linen available as a choice. On the linens, there’ll be cowboys, horses, and western foliage in colors like tan, brown, red, and green, but the styles will vary. With the current financial crisis, though, it’s tough for many p...

Detox Retreat – Cleanse your Body and Soul

Everyone knows that Retreats can rejuvenate, enhance, and provide personal benefits way beyond a holiday. The typical focus of the retreat is some form of self improvement and on this page we’ll speak about Detoxification. A detox retreat is a place where you can fast and cleanse the body of emotional and physical toxins that accumulates from modern stressful lifestyles. Detox Retreats are getting to be extremely popular and you may locate them all over the world. But do we really need to Cleanse our bodies from toxins? Well, I’ll positively say, Yes. I would like to compare our Human body with a House and our digestive system with the sewer system of the House. (Not the very best analogy, but that’s what popped up in my mind. You can create your own analogy.) What will happen if we don’t clean the sewer system inside our house? It is going to get stuck from everything that run through it and the result will be a dirty and unpleasant environment around us. Well, you see...
