Overview Domain Names

Host names are basically the most common types of domain. They can offer a lot more names that are easy to remember, which might compensate for the confusion numeric IP addresses. They allow all Internet users can easily switch to another website that also has a different IP address.


By using special addresses in alphabetical order and not a number, these domain names make it much easier for online users to find and go to different sites, and other services that are based on the server. Because of the flexibility the system has multiple IP addresses can be assigned to a bit of a unique domain name, and many could be attributed to a single unique IP address.

And so, on a single server can be a lot of different roles, such as hosting and other web sites, or may have only one role that has been transferred to many other servers. An IP address can be assigned to multiple servers, which is what I used hijacked IP space and all the shots.

The host names or domain names can only consist of ASCII characters AZ, numbers 0-9 and hyphen. Registrars are those that limit the domains for only qualified host names, as it would be useless otherwise.

There is also a system that was developed to circumvent the restrictions on character allowances used in domain names. This is known as Internationalized Domain Name System or IDN system. It ‘makes them non-English alphabet, users can browse online.
